I'll never get the JJJ hype. I always hear media guys gushing about him but I'm left empty every time I watch him play.

One of the things that's fascinating to me is that I watch a ton of Euroleage and foreign domestic leagues and you can see that there's plenty of guys in these leagues who could legit play in the NBA.

Kendrick Nunn is easiy better than more than half of the rotational guards in the NBA and is in Panathinaikos. Yabusele was over in Real Madrid and never would have gotten another NBA shot without those games in the Olympics. I truly believe that international scouting is lacking and once guys are out of the league, guys are slept on as if they stopped improving.

This actually came up a few years ago but I want to say about 6-7 years ago the only teams that had dedicated European scouting departments was the spurs, Thunder, and Knicks. I don’t know if it improved. Don’t even get me started on the African Leagues. I think a few years ago only the Raptors and Bucks were reported to be there heavy.

I think you’re right there is just a lack of scouting.

Yabusele would still be out the league if he didn’t ball out during the Olympics. Now he’s in line for a nice payday.

Idk this offeseason everybody broke. I got him on my list of guys who are going to get underpaid. If Grimes didnt go supernova towards the end of the season I think he would have got the non taxpayer MLE from Philly, but Philly is going to pay Grimes first and probably have nothing to give Yabu. There is just enough proven NBA guys out there I think he slips between the contract cracks and takes less than he deserves.

I can't even look at him as a legitimate big...he's a tall, finesse guy that would prefer to play on the perimeter and shoot 3's.
