I never said he should be ROY, dumbass, the season has barely started. I just said that the Spurs were so bad and Shai was so good, that Wemby/Chet's cases for ROY have nothing to do with whether the Thunder win more than the Spurs.

For what it's worth, "little impact" Wemby is currently at a +3.2 on/off and "clear rookie of the year" Chet Holmgren is -0.3 on/off.

OKC has a 118.2 offensive rating and 109.3 defensive rating in 577 minutes with Holmgren on the court.
OKC has a 118.5 offensive rating and 109.4 defensive rating in 576 minutes with Holmgren on the bench.

:russ: at the perfect synchronicity of those numbers when you came in here trying to preach about "impact". :dead:
Bench players vs bench players, and starting five 5s are different.

What these stats tells you is that there no significant difference between OKCs bench players vs other bench players in comparison to their top players vs that of others. In very simplified terms.

If you’re gonna base your opinions on stats you should understand and challenge the stats imo :yeshrug:

With the reduction in minutes over the last 20 years, teams rarely run pure 1st/2nd units anymore.

Chet's fellow starter Shai is a +11.3 on the court, while Chet is a -0.3. So your claim about starters and bench players being comparatively even is bullshyt. This team wins because Shai is on the court.

That's why I said very simplified terms, but the logic holds true.
I mean they haven't played exactly the same games, and don't play exactly the same minutes.

The point is that you need to watch games to come to such conclusions. Especially when you look at broad stats and not a large collection of advanced stats.

I was just thinking the ROY race may end up being closer than expected.

I've seen all of these bois hoop atleast once and send teams packing except for Sasser, I barely watch Detroit.

I know media wise it's gonna be bias to Wemby or Chet but I wouldn't be surprised if the other rooks go out of their way to cook them (if they're coaches allow them to run freely)

Wemby should be damn near the last one (at least at this early point in the season) lol. I wouldn't be mad at Chet just cuz that % is fukking crazy and the way he's taking over games been on some other shyt. But I would have B. Miller and others over Wemby right now until further notice.
