I like Kawhi's game, but Balmer should clearly have waited before they gave him that extension. This dude is a ticking time bomb at this point of his career. That extension has sealed their fate as a middle of the pack team, who won't have a real shot at contending.

Going forward he should be managed for 55 games a year

Suns built a team around 3 offensive threats only for KD to be the only one to score more than 20 on the whole team.

Suns screwed themselves for a first round exit team. Its a KG/PP/Deron Williams Nets level misfire.
Anthony Edwards will choke the series away and people will give him a pass because he's cool, just like they did with Russ back in the day. Watch.

So Kawhi is officially questionable tomorrow. He hasn’t played in amost 3 weeks - if he’s still having discomfort in his knee what’s another extra couple of days gonna do after a few weeks off? Maybe he shows up at some point in the series, plays a game or two then is out the rest of the postseason
All the idiots who constantly complained about him sitting out look foolish. He load managed for this very reason

Makes that 65 game rule look stupid. Got players having to choose between meeting money milestones in they contract by playing vs being available for the playoffs

No it makes him look like what he's been for awhile which is injury prone...AD played 70 games and is available...so is Bron, Joker, KD, Tatum and bunch of other guys. Nothing wrong with the 65 game minimum rule...this is a specific Kawhi problem.

We’ve seen this story before…Kawhi ain’t playing. All this secrecy means he’s most likely done for the season
Didn’t the Clippers list him as day to day when they knew he tore his ACL back in 2021?

I don’t know what to make of Kawhi anymore. It’s clear he’s not gonna be able to put together a long playoff run ever again. I’m not quite sure what the Clippers do with him, to be honest. They just signed him to a big contract and he’s never available when you need him

In Kawhi's case, he legitimately cannot make it through a season without ending his career sooner than he wants it to. It would be like telling Brandon Roy to man up and suit up.

but Kawhi didn't have to choose anything. He wasn't gonna go hungry by load managing. He got $153 mil on an extension without making an all-nba team and without the promise of even making it halfway through that deal. He has Ballmer in a vice grip. Teams load manage to avoid having their own Kawhi. Kawhi. If load management never entered his consciousness, he'd be retired by now. It's why I'll never tell any player or team in @Houston911's NBA not to load manage, especially when you don't think the regular season matters like the Clippers.
