This is patently ridiculous. My point of contention wasn't that he was dribbling the air out of the ball, I said he plays selfishly. Which he does. Westbrook and Rondo had the same type of tendencies early in their careers, only devolved to what they're hated for the longer it was allowed.
If you feel differently from what is clear on the court, not much else I can say to convince you.
Haliburton is about as far removed from Rondo as a primary playmaker/ball-handler as you could possibly be. I should know because I broke Rondo's game down long before you were even on this board.
Furthermore, any player who handles the ball in that kind of a role, has to be selfish to some degree. They have to take it upon themselves to direct the team and mold them as they see fit. You wouldn't dare say Fox was selfish, yet his time on the ball, touches and dribbles per possession is similar to Haliburton's - he just chooses to shoot more, now, can't that also be deemed selfish that he's choosing to look for his own shot rather than passing to his teammates?
As it's already been pointed out to you, you only have this vendetta because of all how folks said the Kings should've kept Haliburton instead of Fox, where you're now using it as ammo for some get-back. Why not call out those posters instead of [wrongly] making Haliburton a casualty in all this?
They're both legit players who have different styles of play. It's okay to praise both without trying to pit them against one another.
