I just don't think there's enough wins to go around with how talented both conferences are, particularly in the East. Could be a situation where NYK and WAS are observably improved from last year but it may not reflect in their actual W/L record.
I feel like NYK and WAS would be play in teams in the West, especially WAS

It's interesting. Out of the top 10 seeds in the East last year, 9 likely ain't dropping out... it's really just CHA at #10. So that's arguably just 1 playoff/play-in spot (realistically) available for NYK or WAS this year.

Whereas in the West, from last year's top 10, UTA and SAS will drop out to embrace the tank... opening up 2 slots for POR, SAC, LAL to battle for. If WAS is on the same level or better than at least 2 of those 3 squads then yea it'd be feasible.

Granted I'm assuming NOP will be well in the 45+win range alongside MIN and wouldn't be in danger of falling out.

I'm guessing Terrence Ross is back in the starting lineup again for now. They're looking rather thin in the backcourt right now due to injury and it doesn't help that RJ Hampton is rather meh as a player:patrice:
Looks like he’s got a chance to be back in a couple of months then

As long as he’s not on that Kendrick Nunn timeline:whoa:
It'll only be a matter of time before they abandon the season and get in the race for Wembanyama.

:wow:

Chicago should probably get in the race too. I don't know what another 40-odd win season and a 1st round exit is gonna do for y'all in the long run.

:manny:
A lot of those teams would essentially have to pull players from the jump in order to tank as they'll too far ahead if they wait until the 2nd half of the season. Orlando is already halfway there if they could only get Paolo out of the lineup. Granted in their case, they could arguably use Scoot more than Wembanyama.

Watched the Redeem Team documentary last night :wow:

Tried to buy some more Kobe's but they're all $1k+ smh.

Side note: Luka 1's are out.

It's an overused cliche, but I mean it: Tari Eason can legit play 1-5 in this era.
Two-way wing
Jumbo point guard
Small ball center

Dude can fill all those roles.

How in the world everyone miss this dude seeing as how the guy is practically the prototype everyone wants: tall, tanky playmaking ballhandler?
