They like what that mean
It’s wild I thought he always played good when I saw him.Might sound crazy but some team needs to give bol bol 18-20 minutes a night
He seems like he could be good

Has something changed after Kidd confirmed he'll be the 6th man?C. Wood definitely will be starting
Get ready to hear all year long "coveted free agent"
Someone is gonna give him 25 a year over 4
Head coach Jason Kidd put a summer mystery to rest right off the bat at the Dallas Mavericks Media Day Monday when he addressed the upcoming role for Christian Wood. Though Kidd mentioned the possibility of the athletic big man starting in some spots, he made clear that he will be relied on as the team’s sixth man. “I don’t need him to be ‘The Microwave’, Kidd stated, “I just need him to be C. Wood.”

It's all a technicality, anyway, as JaVale will be the one starting, but Wood will still end up playing the most minutes at the 5 (he'll play the same minutes regardless if he starts or not). I gather it's just to make sure that one of Luka or Wood is on the floor, so the team has an offensive anchor out there, at all times.
That's certainly a possibility, but both Powell and Kleber are coming off contract at the end of the season, and the Mavs just signed JaVale to the MLE, so it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to just phase JaVale out of the rotation after a month when they just signed him to a three-year deal. Especially since Kidd has made it known he wants the team to be bigger this season. There is no way Javale stays the starter. Wood may remain a 6th man but powell or kleber will end up starting 5 in less than two months. Javale is food out there.
Yeah that f*cking wackJose Alvarado really locked up on a 4 yr 4 million deal... Wtf

That's cool and all that, but the Mavs obviously feel differently, hence they just signed him to a $20m/three-year deal.Hes 34 years old and pretty much always been a backup. He wasnt good enough to start in his prime, and certainly not good enough now. He cannot defend a lick. Powell and kleber both can hold their own switched onto guards. Dallas was a top three defense after they traded kristaps because of this. Mcgee is huge step backwards and only useful when you need to rebound off of a free throw attempt or a tip in.

Regardless of your opinion (or mine) of him, Kidd has every intention of starting him and giving him a chance to prove himself in that role. Besides, he's still going to play in a backup capacity, where he's playing limited minutes, it's just a technicality on him starting. As I said, the same applies to Wood, he'll come off the bench but still play the same minutes as if he were starting.
Wood = playing starters minutes, but coming off the bench
JaVale = playing backup minutes, but starting.
The Kings, Blazers, Knicks, Hornets and Wizards are the hardest teams for me to gauge on how they will perform this year
