I personally think he just needs a new environment. Preferably a small environment where he can get unlimited reps to grow.
Brooklyn was already a new environment
He doesn't give a fukk about playing basketball. No new environment is gonna change that

Also terrible management by the Nets if they move him in the offseason
They had the perfect way to unload that contract when they traded KD and didn't even make Phoenix have to take him. They gotta stick with that bum now

That wouldn't have worked as Phoenix would have been hard pressed to come up with the cap space to help facilitate the deal outside of including CP3, which I doubt they would have done.

Then they could've told Phoenix to suck a dikk
Bring in a 3rd team idc
That whole trade felt like Brooklyn bent over and gave KD up without even negotiating with other teams

What other teams would their have been to negotiate with though? KD was always going to end up going to a contender and the majority if not all the contender wouldn't have had the combinations of picks/ young players/contracts to help take on both KD and Simmons together.

It'd be one thing if you were talking about Joe Harris, but Simmons contract is a deadweight and that's not even factoring in the luxury tax implications that come along with it.

that’s exactly what they did…they only spoke with PHX since that was his preferred destination…so it wasn’t even a matter of getting the best possible deal for him…they were willing to get what they could as long as it was from PHX smmfh
