They have 3 total shooters on the roster and 2 of them have to be playmakers for everyone else, and the 3rd guy gets benched by the coach for defense. Trey is a terrible defender but you just gotta live with it because of what he provides with spacing and shooting.
As for other issues, the role players started out the season playing in over their heads (Jose was shooting 46% from 3, now he has regressed to the mean shooting 33%, Naji was giving them 15 ppg as a starter but since coming back from injury has been unplayable, also shooting 31%, Herb gets the Roberson/Westbrook treatment from the perimeter shooting 27%, Josh Richardson is shooting 28%.) These are all your main role players who shoot from the wing, just not going to win in today's league if that is how poorly you are shooting.
On top of all that, CJ has been playing hurt most of the year with a hand injury, will most likely need surgery in summer, he's just out of it because of that, can't blame him too much because he's playing through an injury.
Their big man situation is probably at top of the list, Jonas is almost guaranteed to be moved this summer. He was very good for them last year offensively, whatever he had left in the tank is gone. I think playing in the summer overseas hurt him more than anything because he has been playing tired all year. The only reliable big is Larry Nance who is 6'7 and now he's hurt because Willie Green rode him till he couldn't play anymore. And then you got the other two bigs collecting paychecks
Zion coming back will mask a lot of the issues offensively but the 3 point issue will remain, the team is shooting completely different from how they were early on. It will be more like the SVG season whenever he does come back.
