If you aren't Detroit and Orlando, then you're still in contention for the play-in tournament even in spite of your record, so I can see why teams are hesitant to blow it up and do a fire sale.

Even Indiana is only 1.5 games back of the 10th seed. A lot of those young dudes on that team aren't going to be cheap anymore in the next 2-3 years, which is the real reason why I think that they are wanting to blow it up.
