Pacers need to blow it up regardless. They’re the biggest treadmill team in the league. They’ve been knocked out in the 1st round or missed the playoffs as the 9 seed in each of the last 7 seasons.

Brogdon can’t be traded this season because of his extension but Sabonis & Turner have legitimate value. LeVert & Warren maybe if they could stay healthy. I’d imagine plenty of playoff teams would want Justin Holiday, I’d gladly take him in Boston.

They don’t even have to go completely scorched Earth like Houston or OKC did, but there’s nothing wrong with acknowledging when something has ran it’s course and when to move on.
That's never been how they do business. They're very comfortable with trying to be competitive. They know they're in a market that appreciates halfway decent basketball and if they went to an extended rebuild, they'd lose the fanbase to all the college teams around them.

Put it this way: Sabonis is 25. If you feel he's done all he can there, then they might as well trade Duarte too since he's only a year younger than him.

Why are the suns not resting their starters to get ready for the warriors? If they cant beat detroit without them then they dont deserve this streak

And TBH, in some markets, that's good enough. I would have loved being just a regular playoff team (prior to the events that took place :mjlit:). We were a bottom dweller with bad ownership and management forever so I would have gladly taken a string of playoff runs.

Now however...

Add to the fact that they aren’t a marquee FA destination, so they have no other choice but to take the gamble on injury prone players. People cracked jokes about how they got Warren for little bit of nothing and they see why that was the case as he just can’t stay healthy.

You're right to a degree but if fans weren't already watching Indiana, Purdue, Butler, etc. then then they're not just going to stop watching the Pacers and jump ship to college if the team decided to blow it up and start over. Even though its the state of Indiana a basketball stronghold, college basketball doesn't have it like that anymore plus these college teams only play like a twice a week.
