Gobert is a great rim protector but outside of that he is pretty mediocre as a defender, a guy like Jokic should feast easily. Hope he is okay
I mean, by conventional wisdom, Gobert is an all-time great defender: 3x DPOY and 5x All-Defensive team and he's not even 30 yet.
It just speaks to how great Jokic is.
If this happened during the 70s, 80s, 90s etc, folks would be romanticizing all the time about how Gobert was one of the GOAT defenders and Jokic tore him to pieces every time they matched up. But since it's happening today, it's more about how bad Gobert's defense is rather than how good Jokic's offense is.
