Barkley was on Simmons podcast and he said Kevin McHale was the best forward he ever played against. which made my face go :why: cause i almost never hear ppl hype him up, not even cacs
Though I don't really know much about that era of celtics I knew McHale wasn't a bum, but I didn't realize he was like a MVP caliber player in his healthy prime
Apparently dude had Hakeem level footwork in the post. Completely informs my view of him re: his Rockets coaching tenure and his credibility (being a great player doesn't mean great coach but i'm saying)

This man was a monster on the block. Pump fakes, spin moves, hooks. Mchale was second to Akim all time post up game.

He a 1-time all-star...from a era where everything's forgotten. That's just the way the pecking order goes. You have to make real noise for a while, for an elder to acknowledge you. That's how you go from "Such-n-Such son" or "Young'n on that team", into your own. Siakim is not yet good enough for his name to be known by the elders. He may get a keep it up, young fella, but not where they know his name. They don't know most of these other players.

For an elder to acknowledge you :mjlol:

They are NBA analysts there job is to know the players and watch the game not be ignorant as fukk and think its cool to not know shyt...

Is Jerami Grant the most improved player this season?
Or are his numbers merely a result of volume?

He's a typical racist cac but McHale was the business in the post. Dude could flat out hoop, def had Akeem level post moves

It is volume for sure....he gets ALL the shots he wants in Detroit, ultimate greenlight but he is still very efficient. He's not just chucking, he's scoring super efficiently so I can't knock him. It's not like he's scoring 26 points on 24 shots out there. He is deserving of MIP

THAT BEING SAID, he is only good enough to be a #1 on a bottom dweller like the Pistons. On a high level playoff squad, he is a #3....he wouldnt be putting up these numbers in Denver

Some might call this a hot take but I'm not sure why Brad Beal is considered to be that much better than Zach LaVine

Beal scores 5 more a game but on 4 more shots. Zach is scoring 28.5 points on 52/44/85 splits with 5 boards and 5 assists. Beal is shooting 34% from 3, same boards, same assists

They are both equally not good at defense, but Zach is a legit 6'5"....Brad is actually 6'3"

Folk talk about Brad being in playoffs before.....but they dont mention that was with a healthy Allstar level John Wall and solid vets. Brad solo dolo has been heading up some shyt squads

The best teammate Zach has had so far is Lauri Markannen and he is injured every other month and when he does play he inconsistent and soft.

If you put a Lowry, CP3, Conley next to Zach, a lot of his flaws fade away(not great playmaking, mediocre at best defense).

Lowkey he better than Booker too
