Because those bubble performances were under a unusual set of circumstances and aren’t indicative of who they are/would become as players. Hell, TJ Warren had a better performance than both Murray and Mitchell, yet we wouldn’t put them in the same conversation as those guys. Even AD was all worldly when his 2pt shot in the bubble when had never been otherwise.

As I’ve said performance, I think that Denver makes final in the next 2-3 (before Murray got hurt) and I still stand by it. The determining factor in that is MPJ and how quickly he can become the player that they need.

What:what:

No he didn’t he put up 20/6/3 in the playoffs and his team got swept tf out. You’re mixing it up with his meaningless 8 game run before the playoffs. Which should tell u that there was a clear difference in play. TJ went from averaging 34ppg to 20ppg as soon as the playoffs hit. And they were both bubble scenarios. So to try to discredit what Murray did in a deep playoff run when other players had the same opportunities is disingenuous....

TJ Warren was the MVP of the regular season bubble, which shows that a lot of players and not just Mitchell and Murray were putting up insane numbers in the bubble format.

then he put up only 20ppg in the playoffs. So why do u keep comparing it to Mitchell and Murray who did work in the playoffs? The fact that he had that steep of a drop off shows u how there was a clear difference in the playoffs...

You're the one who compared their bubble performance to Steph Curry in the playoffs when he didn't even participate in the bubble last year nor did Kyrie lol.

I compared his playoff run. You are the one adding the “bubble title” to it as if it somehow wasn’t still nba players competing in a playoff format. If you wanna discredit it simply cause they played in a “bubble” then that’s just your own biased opinion. The facts are that it was the 2020 NBA Playoffs. Murray balled out...the stats are there.

Still doesn't change the fact that Murray's regular season and playoff run's can compared to Steph's or Kyrie's. They weren't in the 2020 playoffs so you can't compare his performances to theirs when they weren't even in there.

It also doesn't change the fact that Murray is an inconsistent player whether you agree with it or not. Look around the internet and you will see that I'm not the only person who has made that complaint. Even dudes on The Coli have said the same thing and even made a thread about it back in March.

Breh I just posted his numbers. The 2020 run is better than most of Steph and Kyrie’s runs. The fukk is you talking about :dahell:? You just parroting shyt with no facts to back you up.

I don’t need to “look around the internet” I can look at the numbers. Murray is a young player who’s shown growth every year. He was averaging a career high 22ppg this year. How tf is he inconsistent? Give me some proof? He’s gotten better every year that’s a fact. You clearly just don’t fukk with the kid...which is fine but let’s not just outright lie about shyt here.

Don't say that I don't fukk with the kid when I've been one of the few people giving that team props before everyone else jumped on board. I've said long ago that they can make a trip to the finals and win if MPJ becomes even 80% of the player they think he could be and I still stand by that.

People overrated MPJ honestly, Murray has improved every year and is a better shot creator

As a lot of us have said before, talent isn't the problem with Murray but consistency is. Inconsistency is the biggest knock towards his game. Some nights dude looks like he has next and others he looks like an afterthought. It was a reason why people thought that Denver should have moved him and made the upgrade to Beal.

Also don't forget the aspect that MPJ would have been in contention for the #1 pick in the draft had he not had the back injury. It should also be noted that he was the #1 ranked player in the country at the time going into college. He missed two years of development because of the back injury and is still figuring it all out on the court.
