I think generally there are in most years in the league 5 - 8 elite wing scorers & we got 5 of them on 2 teams :francis:

if they were all on their own team, then I definitely think the regular season is much more enjoyable

Tbh, I'd say health (or lack thereof) is the difference in an enjoyable regular season.

GSW, LAL, DEN, DAL, LAC, BK, PHI, MIA, BOS etc have all had shyt luck injuries.. some crippling (Klay/Murray) and others borderline with multiple stars out for a month at a time.

Otherwise league is stacked with talent and fun teams.

I wish they could retroactively give Steph’s 2014-15 mvp to this year. This feels like it should be his OTHER mvp type season. Some insane shot making

The only contender that’s managed to avoid the injury bug is Phoenix outside of role players.

When he’s consistent yes, that’s his main problem.

Some games he has it and others he’s a complete afterthought. Can’t have your #2 being that type of player, which is why they’re better off in the long run with MPJ as the 2nd option.

Come on breh what are you talking about? He upped his scoring by 4ppg in the 2019 playoffs and by 10 ppg in the 2020 playoffs. He’s a proven Playoff performer and has more than enough games to show that he’s more consistent than not. Hell he was even in the middle of his best regular season before he went down this year...

Quit being fooled by PPG and look deeper into the numbers. He’s an inconsistent player. Some nights he looks like that dude and others he looks like a complete afterthought. I’m not the only person making that criticism about it as other people on here have said it as well.

Unless he becomes more consistent, then he’s a #3 at best and more than likely going to be eclipsed by MPJ as the #2 option.

He improves dramatically by every metric in the playoffs..not just ppg. Per/TS/win shares/VORP

You’re just repeating a tired Narrative. Murray clearly has improved every single year. When was the last game he looked like a “complete afterthought”:stopitslime: and i guarantee you when you find it I’ll throw you 3 for where he looked like the best player on the team.

The kid is 23...if you don’t see the natural progression then I don’t know what to tell you

And while I do think MPJ has potential to be better..right now he’s nowhere near as skilled as a shot creator/shotmaking as Murray is. MPJ works mostly off spot up shooting and finishing...he doesn’t have an in between or much of an iso game right now. Whereas Murray operated on Dame/Steph/Kyrie level during the playoffs last year.

Mitchell did in the bubble playoffs last year as well, but would you put him on the same level of Dame/Steph/Kyrie?

Even mentioning Steph in the same conversation with those guys you mentioned is an insult to Steph as he's on a completely different level than those dudes :mjlol:

Mitch did it for 7 games (and Murray still outplayed him) Murray did it for 20 games all the way to the west finals.

And why is it an insult to Steph? Murray put 27/7/5 on 50/42/90 splits. That’s damn near better than any playoff run Steph had ever had. He was that cold..

It’s a damn shame he got hurt cause Denver woulda prob been on the short list for the chip this year...

Because those bubble performances were under a unusual set of circumstances and aren’t indicative of who they are/would become as players. Hell, TJ Warren had a better performance than both Murray and Mitchell, yet we wouldn’t put them in the same conversation as those guys. Even AD was all worldly when his 2pt shot in the bubble when had never been otherwise.

As I’ve said performance, I think that Denver makes final in the next 2-3 (before Murray got hurt) and I still stand by it. The determining factor in that is MPJ and how quickly he can become the player that they need.
