I mean, prior to Thibs being appointed as the Knicks coach, the majority of this board deprecated his coaching ability, saying he ran his players into the ground, his defense is outdated, doesn't know how to run an offense etc. And look at the perception of him now with how the Knicks are performing, which no doubt will eventually change again if the Knicks start losing and folks need someone to point the finger at to blame.
Thibs has his flaws, but he's always been a good NBA coach. Look at his success with the Bulls even through the horrible injuries with Rose. Thibs also got the Wolves in the playoffs for the first time in over a decade.
