Hold on bruh. Is this saying Wilt had 65 30 point games in a season?

To be fair, Wilt averaged 45ppg... on 35 shots per game. The year before, Wilt averaged 50... on 40 shots. (shooting 50%)

Curry meanwhile is at 31ppg on 21 shots. (shooting 49%). Peak '00 Shaq was also at 21 shots (30ppg / 57% shooting)

IOW, the way the league is now (or the way it's been since... 1965 lol) it's damn near not feasible for one guy to shoot the ball 35-40 friggin times a game. Even when Wilt did it in the 9 team league, the other top scorers were still mostly in the 22-24 shot range. Even '06 Kobe with the full green light to jack up shots capped out at 27 fga.

To be even more fair: Steph is averaging 23.3 shots over this 30 point streak, not his season average 21.

He's about to go on a 40 point game streak though :ehh:
