gil never lied

Why is Gil not on ESPN or Fox Sports? His BBIQ is way up there, he is good at public speaking, and damn near everyone has forgotten about his gun incident.
Two games behind the bulls for the play-in game. Theyre going to go for it
The smartest thing Silver did was create the Play-in. Teams aren’t tanking nearly as much as they use to. 3 years ago the wiz would be benching Beal to try and move up.

The play in is working for teams 9 thru 13 teams AND playoff teams. Teams 4-6 gotta fight to stay out of the play in rather than coast to the finish. Somehow it actually increases the value of the regular season. There are now only 6 real playoff spots. After the top 6, everybody has to play their way in.

the idea of play-in is just dumb as hell when you consider damn near half the league is in the playoffs :dead:
The problem was the other half would just quit once it looked like they wouldn’t make it. Even flattening the draft odds didn’t matter because teams would just rest guys to keep them healthy.

It lowers the expectations but keeps more teams (and their fans) involved

they just continue to quit though

and the draft odds changing a bit doesn't is overstated. you don't need a #1 pick to turn your franchise around, you need young new players that you can develop or sell high on and a cleared/clearing cap sheet.

forcing some garbage, depleted team into the national spotlight to get shyt on isn't doing anything outside of stretching an already-too-long postseason. shyt, the first round should be going back to 5 games again if anything.
