Since the Bubble is a neutral site, this may have been the year to test out the 1-16 format

This would be okay if they balanced out the schedule and ensured that the impact of inter conference games are diluted

the nba really fumbled it in that regards they could have tried so many things. Time zones, travel etc. don't matter could have tested that out.

Could have also done what the nhl did top 4 seeds in each conference have a "bye" and play a few games for seeding. While the other teams play a best of 5

ah well

I can see why they didn't decide on doing 1-16 seeding since teams wouldn't have had a balanced scheduled in opponents faced for the 60+ games already played. If they were to start off next season in a similar bubble-type format, it should be something that's implemented
