I only hear them talked about durning the game. I hear Kyrie on every talking head tv show outside of the one episode of skip and shannon after boston won the first game without kyrie.

I'm tired of the narrative the media creates. The Celtics should be talked about the same way the 04 Detroit Pistons were. No real Superstar (A lie) with possibly 4 unselfish stars who win by playing team ball. I love how this team is made up and how it plays together. The Kyrie slurping is getting old.

*edit* before the low level posting begins I'm not saying this team is as good as the 04 Pistons that won a championship. I'm saying they should be sold in the same way as the Pistons were. An exciting defensive team that plays as a unit. Not a one man show.

The only people who sell them as a one man show are the casuals who don't watch them play. And if that's who you're basing your information off (And judging from you name-dropping Undisputed it sounds like you are) then you're listening to the wrong people :yeshrug:

@Poitier it's early but it seems like the Sixers should be able to keep the Lakers pick, how do you think Jaren Jackson Jr. would fit in at PF for them?

Depends on if the 3 pt shot will translate. Its a bit slow and unorthodox, but if it does, then Ben Simmons/JJJ pick n pop would look nasty and I couldn't even imagine the type of defense they would field with another agile rim protector:damn:

Don't the Celtics get the Lakers pick in one situation?

Pick info

2018 first round draft pick from L.A. Lakers
L.A. Lakers' 2018 1st round pick to Philadelphia (via Phoenix) or to Boston (via Phoenix to Philadelphia) protected for selections 1 and 6-30; if this pick falls on any of its protected selections and is therefore retained by Philadelphia, then Boston will instead receive the more favorable of Philadelphia's 2019 1st round pick protected for selection 1 and Sacramento's 2019 1st round pick protected for selection 1 (via Philadelphia) and Philadelphia will receive the less favorable or the protected of these two picks [L.A. Lakers-Phoenix, 7/11/2012; Milwaukee-Philadelphia-Phoenix, 2/19/2015; Philadelphia-Sacramento, 7/9/2015; Boston-Philadelphia, 6/19/2017]; the 2019 pick conveyance is included in "2019 first round draft pick from Philadelphia or Sacramento" on Boston Incoming

Very complicated, but I get it. The Lakers don't seem bad enough to be a top 5 pick so that lowers the Celtics chance of getting it, but if they don't they'll get Sacramento's pick the following year which will probably be top 5. :ehh:

Ainge put some work in for sure. If the Sixers can get that L.A. pick to be the #6 pick that could be the final piece they need. :patrice:
