That dude has it all. He has the intangibles, he has the athleticism, he has the measurables (pause), and he has a jumper. But I don't think he can create for himself, and if that's true then that's gonna put a major cap on his ceiling.
There's questions about Porter's ability to do it against NBA talent but we know that Porter can create for himself, while being a comparable athlete to Bridges, as well as the fact that he's taller and younger. I'd rather have MPJ.
I do think Bridges is special though.
If Golden State was really lightyears ahead of the league like they claim, they'd make the bold but smart move of dangling Klay Thompson out as trade bait this summer to a team in the 7-12 range where Bridges will likely be drafted. Win or lose.
They could easily fleece some team like the Kings or Knicks into adding a bunch of value in the form of young prospects, future picks and cap relief, to even out the fact that you're trading a proven all star champion in Klay for an mid-late lottery pick.
Bridges is made for the Klay role. All his questionable areas are things Klay doesn't have to do in GS anyway. Knock down open 3s and play D

Bridges can do that. Hes younger, locked into your roster through the end of Steph and KD's primes for cheap, you saved money, gained even more assets for the future.
We all get to finally see how Klay does as the man on a team. Plus chances are, you add Klay to a team like Sacramento...they might be right back in the lottery next season anyway
So you draft Klay's replacement and land another top prospect next season to be Iggy or Zaza's eventual replacement.
That's what they SHOULD do.

But they wont
