I remember the Joe Johnson trade with the Hawks back in '06.
They traded us their 1st rd pic, top 3 protected......You'd think "It's the Hawks" , right?
That's going to be a top 5-7 pick, right.........Well, nah
They finished with the 6th worse record in the league, but low and muthafukking behold, they jumped up into the top 3
After that, they became a decent team, and the pick ended up being somewhere in the 20's by the time it finally conveyed.
Here we are now with the best odds to win the 1st overall pick, but my mind's already prepared to pick 4th.
The draft gods/NBA powers that be just don't fukk with us like that
