This is why I don't understand dudes saying Kawhi is the "engine" of that team (as opposed to other star players) or the fact that he holds them up defensively (they've actually had a better defensive rating in the games he hasn't played in - that's including the games where Gasol and Parker play). The Spurs are 35-9 for a reason, and that reason sure as hell ain't because the team lives and dies because of him.

You better than this. He's missed three games before tonight. The Spurs went against Brooklyn, Phoenix, and the Blazers without Lillard. Any team would with a decent system would put up great defensive numbers facing that competition.
