a squad needs a REAL pg, not someone running pg who's always looking to score. I say this when I play 2k also, the PG needs to assist and play D, if he grabs some boards too cool, but set people up for the easy baskets.

Getting a backup PG isn't that simple for the Cavs. They have trade exceptions, but if they take on salary, the tax hit is going to be big, which hurts their ability to use exceptions going forward. In a perfect world, they would be able to trade Birdman's contract to someone to free up a roster spot and then get a backup PG with the TPE like Devin Harris, who is only guaranteed for a million next year, but is a credible backup.

Still the Mavs are probably trying to squeeze the Cavs for picks, if they are even having discussions. I'd be more concerned with Lue overplaying Lebron than anything else. 43 minutes against an Anthony Davis-less Pelicans team is a bad look.
