Warriors
Houston
(maybe) Spurs
I think those teams are above them at the moment. I'm curious to see how fast the Spurs start the season but I think the Cavs are about even with OKC and the Clippers.
I would actually say Spurs, Golden State, a healthy Thunder, and maybe the Clippers.

5 or 6 is a push, but the Cavs arent the 2nd best team in the NBA.

You never know. With what I see from Towns, he might be the best rookie big since Duncan. Could even have a better rookie year than Duncan had. As I said inthe other thread, Towns looks like am all time great possibility to me

:merchant:

This is a CRAZY statement.

I love Towns game but to put up those numbers up at 19? NO WAY

Duncan averaged 21/12 with 2.5 blocks per game and was All-NBA 1st team his rookie year. And the Spurs won 56 games on top of that. You really think Towns could have a better rookie year than he did? :usure:

If you want to talk about rookie bigs since then: Elton Brand also put up 20/10, Pau averaged 18/9 with over 2 blocks a game, Griffin averaged 23/12. Anthony Davis was also very good as a rookie, he averaged 14/8 and nearly 2 blocks a game while playing less than 30 minutes. Per 36 he was averaging 17/10 with 2.2 blocks a game.
to be fair there is a huge age difference in regards to rookie years i seriously doubt he can average those numbers

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
and to add to this...he looked nice but its 1 pre season game...
Duncan's numbers will be hard as hell to reach, but far from impossible. Towns is a fukkin man breh's, I have seen much more than just the 1 pre season game and dude has been a man amongst boys since high school. So far, he has been that at every level he has played at and it looked the same last night.

Maybe not topping Duncan, but he can at least get close to all the other rookie bigs u mentioned. Especially with how wet his jumper is and how strong he is in the post. I can't wait to watch dude this season

Where'd he say this?

Thing is, they only have to beat one of those top five teams since they're the only contender in the east at the moment.
he said it on MIke and Mike this AM.

And yeah, the second point is why the Cavs are favored to win the NBA title.

Spurs and the Clippers nah.

I gotta see how the Thunder look under Donovan. And the Warriors aren't as a team that much better than a healthy Cavs team.

I don't see The Warriors beasting like they did last year. They're gonna regress just a notch. It's hard to sustain that level of play year in and year out.

Yeah. You got injuries, dudes gettin fat and sassy, or just other teams catching up. It takes a lot of effort and luck to put together a season like that back to back. Even those old school C's and Lakers teams couldn't do it. The older I get, the more amazed I am at the Bulls following up a 72 win season with a 69 win season (and they lost their last 2 games). It was a watered down league due to expansion, but still that is insane.

SMH @ this:

Chandler Parsons believes in himself, and the Mavericks, even without DeAndre Jordan

"We had Mavs gear shipped to DeAndre for the season," Parsons tells Yahoo. "We picked out his locker. We picked out where he was going to sit on the team bus and plane. We picked out his No. 6 jersey. We narrowed down which home he would buy in Dallas, talked about restaurants here.

"It's not like I was just making this [expletive] up. He's still a friend. But when I saw him in Las Vegas for Team USA, all I could really say was, 'Are you [expletive] serious?' "
