That's my point exactly. His numbers this year aren't better than his MVP season. His overall game hasn't grown much since that year. Not even from a stats standpoints, which clearly they haven't but from an actual basketball player level (still an average defender at best; no post game; and still takes some questionable shots) You want to argue that he peaked that year, go ahead but a dude this talented should've have peaked that early.

Who do you guys think has been the best player in the playoffs so far.
I'd give LeBron the slight edge over Kawhi. people may not realize how good he has been because no one watched that Grizz series. shooting 52% on threes and averaging 2+ blocks and 2+ steals in relatively limited min.
after those 2 I'd go Westbrook and Dray, respectively. Russell Has been hitting his cotton Jay and I think at this point it's no argument that the Thunder offense does better with him at the helm. Mostly because Durant is more of an off ball threat but still. Plus Durant has been terrible defensively in the playoffs. Its weird that he focused harder on D in the reg season. Russ makes plenty mustakes himself but 27/7/11 is unbelievable.

He is pretty solid and with his shooting would be a great fit. However everything I've read said that he isnt coming over any time soon and prob never. Have things changed?

He probably got paid a nice amount and isn't insecure
They were a bad offensive team ith him and his rotations were suspect at times
They might be better off with another coach or they might fall flat
I don't think it was a bad thing to let him go
