Doc has failed to make a lot of players "work." Rondo had 3 HOFs and Thibs to compensate for Rondo's knuckleheadedness. I totally agree with you that Lance is a rockhead. I still think Doc did a piss poor job utilizing him.

Doc played Josh Smith at center. Hawes has a 3 point shot in his arsenal but Doc tried to turn him into a 3 point shooter only and he lost his confidence. Lance would've been fine backing up Chris Paul but Doc wanted Austin to run point. He got Paul Pierce a year too late, passed on Rudy Gobert in the draft. Won't develop any young players outside of his son, etc
Should've kept Vinny The Black. People think he's coached up DJ and the likes but imo its just their natural progression as improving players throughout the course of seasons

He doesn't really "get it" at all. The fact he has kept his job is pretty laughable considering nearly all his moves fail and he's not even that good of a coach. He failed to utilize pretty much ever free agent signing or player he's picked up.
Not only that, but he sets them up to fail like that breh pointed out by having shyt like Smith at center or Hawes be exclusively a three point shooter or having Lance...well I can't blame him for Lance being a moron. He had troubles utilizing his own damn son properly.
