Who was the last center to shoot below 50% TS and be an allstar![]()
DeAndre > prime Shaq. And it's not even close. We really talking about TS% for a center?
DeAndre Jordan has a higher TS% than prime Shaq, you don't use those kind of stats for centers![]()

Yes you do...We really talking about TS% for a center?

Yes you do...
Drummond shoots 52% from the field, which is fine and he has no trouble drawing fouls. The problem is when he gets to the line.
He is in a perfect positon to score efficiently. Plays near the rim, gets to the line 8 times a game(would be around maybe 6 without the hacking), and isn't told to create offense like a normal number one option.
There's a reason why Cousins shoots a higher TS% while having a much lower FG%. He gets to the line at an elite level and actually MAKES his FTs.
We've seen Drummond play as a garbage man and lob man, he has never shot above 62% FG in his career. DJ has done this his entire career(except for his 2nd season).
Context.Again, you don't judge centers by TS% that's absolutely ridiculous IMO, Kanter shoots a higher TS% than Drummond and is on par with prime Shaq. Oh, Kanter's TS is also higher than Hakeems was
I never talk about TS%, and even if I did I would never bring it up in relation to centers.
DJ is playing with CP3 too![]()
Context.
Kanter is a 3rd/4th option averaging 12ppg compared to Shaq's 24ppg career average(with most years being a bonafife superstar 1st option).
Shaq was a 59% TS scorer for his entire career, there is nothing wrong with that.
Why can't we use TS% for Centers?
Shaq is policeThe disrespect for the prophets of postDo you have no shame? What's next you gonna insult Hakeem, if you do me and @houston911 gonna make sure you get the message -

Duncan has the personality and game of an awkward 67-year-old white wallflower
Hakeem is a unicorn
How dare you try to accuse me of even thinking of slandering the GOAT's name.![]()
Drummond would never average 12ppg on 70% FG, no matter who the starting PG is.Oh, so now context matters, but you're comparing a 4th year player who is functioning as a 1st option for the first time, to a garbage man in his 8th year playing with an elite table setter?
Kanter was a 2nd option in Utah, his TS% was still higher than Hakeems
You can use TS% for whatever you want, you'll almost never find me talking about it because I generally only care about raw FG% or EFG%.
Drummond would never average 12ppg on 70% FG, no matter who the starting PG is.
Kanter didn't average 23ppg for 17 seasons or demand the attention Hakeem did either. Why are you playing dumb with me?
FG% is a flawed and outdated stat, you are ignoring that players shoot FTs and 3s. Is Drummond more efficient than Curry because he has a higher FG%?
