Is 80-90% of Raptors games not enough? DeMarre's been injured for pretty much 90% of the season, dealing with plantar fasciitis and knee complaints. When he's been healthy he's been great on the defensive end. Considering the fact that DeMarre only played 25 minutes in both of those Bulls games, and was still having issues with his knee - yall performed about as good as yall could have on the defensive end without your best perimeter defender healthy. The first half a dozen games (although a small sample size) where DeMarre was probably in his healthiest state - yall dudes had the 3rd best defense and were shutting teams down. This is what I mean when you can't take those games against the Bulls as any sort of notable scale - your best wing defender could hardly move out there and Val was just coming back from injury.
Take for instance that Thunder game at the start of the season - yall held one of the best offenses in the league to ZERO field goals in the last five minutes of the game (Thunder only had five points from the free throw line).
Based on two games?
If you seen some of shytty ass performances the Bulls have given this season, you wouldn't be quick to put them over your team like this. Toronto is most definitely in the discussion of being the second based team - until the Bulls, Heat or Hawks can separate themselves from the pack - the Raptors will remain in that conversation.
