The only one I can't really figure out is Evan turner

he was a buy-low sell high signing by ainge. chances are they keep him through next season but unlikely after since he will want a substantial raise. ainge loves guys who were highly touted in the past and can play a lot of different roles on a team. turner was a top pick and they thought they could rehabilitate his value in the system stevens is running. same thing with how they drafted bradley. bradley was a top end HS prospect then got hurt at texas and they took him in the draft without hesitation. teams are hesitant to deal anything worthwhile for turner since his game is somewhat unconventional and he hasnt fared well in the playoffs. i think the hopes were to build him up and package him (and/or others) with wallace to a team that desperately needs wing help (since they thought the low salary- around 3 mil- of turner could off-set wallaces poison contract)..but now they are leaning towards wallace being a complete sunk cost dead asset and will probably waive him at some point when they really need the roster spot. they are adverse to lumping in wallace with a guy they really like to end up with less returns since they will have cap space anyway. this is evident in wallace not already being packaged in a green or rondo deal..guys who were arguably our best assets...so unless a team falls in love with a guy who is ultimately expendable based on what we have or who ainge is targeting in the draft its not going to happen.

Embrace the Olynyk era :blessed:

not until hes reduced to scalabrine cult favorite/towel waver/occasional hustle big who can pop 3s

Yeah, I wouldn't be shocked to see turner on this team next season

At least Wallace has embraced his role and keeping his mouth shut... Basically the opposite of last year

agree on the latter. the only value he has right now is basically as an assistant coach that provides a good example of effort and hustle in practice..which was what he was renowned for when he was actually good.

turner should start the year with the team but hes also an expiring next year so thats when he may get packaged with wallace since it'd be about 14/15 mil of expirings for another team. turner/wallace/picks could fetch something decent. depends on how well turner plays to be honest. very unlikely either move this year though.

Plus he can always package the worst of his first rounders with Wallace to get him off the
Books in the offseason if he needs the cap space.

It's so hard to narrow down what Danny is doing cause he has an unreal amount of flexibility

Hornets have looked waaaaay better without al Jefferson or lance Stephenson in recent weeks and Kemba has also started to play better.
lance comes back and nikkas are dead meat

everybody was coming down on lance when he was playing bad - but that was when everyone was playing bad. when he went down, nobody got better. al goes down and we looking like a new team.

lance in this sped up game :wow:

i love every second of this knick season. look, if you're gonna be a terrible team, might as well go for broke and make it hilarious.

Its not necessarily that..he's clearly trying to do what he did before the Allen/KG trades. Its not the flexibility per se..right now its strictly talent evaluation and scouting for the draft. Hes going to go after a few of the big names in FA and has contingency plans for who they do or do not land and what pick they end up with. Its hard to narrow down because so many guys havent played enough to tell what we have in them, and in turn, what others see in them..and its not as clear cut as last time because the scouting landscape has changed and he cant live off the hype of guys (telfair/gerald) as in the past to fleece people...every team has taken their scouting to the next level since then (even if some of them still suck at drafting).

Thank u, im tired of commentators acting like theyre playing better cuz of Lance.. Lance went down and nikkas was still trash.. Al goes down and Kemba suddenly makes a late all star campaign and the Hornets about to get back into the playoffs:mjpls:

Even Hendo alluded to them playing better cuz of Al not clogging shyt
