I'll believe it when I see it, this is the first time you're paying the luxury.

And there are two scenarios here -

1. He gets a big offer and accepts, you will be paying the repeaters tax when it does kick in since you're going to be over the luxury next season, when it kicks in that would make 3 years over luxury.

2. He waits till the new TV deal and then gets an even bigger offer :ld:

I think until they get Durant locked up they're going to go all out. I think they'll risk going into luxury tax for next year until they see what the new cap situation looks like. If it jumps like predicted in two years they may be over the cap but below the luxury line. So I see most team stockpiling assets and seeing how it all shakes out.

Not a bad loss tonight. They kept it close without LMA. Now that shyt against Utah on Friday is a completely different story.
