It's not a revolutionary system he's running. He tweaked the Mavs shyt. An he has great personnel for it. And inside-out PF; a SF who can hit 3s, slash, and distribute; a PG who can penetrate and shoot; shooters everywhere on the court. You can't really double or clog the lane, and you can't play the shooters too close because they'll drive and either score or make plays. It's great basketball to watch.
It really is great basketball to watch. Ive only caught their games against the Bulls(overcame a 20 point deficit) Pacers, Warriors, Thunder.

Considering they didnt make a big free agent signing, or draft anyone making an instant impact(CJ hasn't played yet) this turnaround is impressive.

How do people think CJ will fit into the rotation when he comes back? He is the type of player that succeeds with the ball in his hands alot, although that could have just been the result of not having high quality teammates around him. Crazy they are about to add another shooter here.

Low key, the Robin Lopez signing has been great for them. Hickson had a nice year for them last season, but he wasnt the type of big needed next to LMA. They needed a center and he has been solid defensively.

They also upgraded from Eric Maynor to Mo Williams as their first guard off their bench, big boost to their offense.

Most definitely. The biggest factors are how much more freedom and responsibility they've given on the offensive end (has turned out to be a brilliant adjustment) and LMA looking so fukking confident out there. Lopez has filled his role nicely, and Mo Williams is great for them because he's a better shooter than Maynor. CJ's biggest responsibility is to just be adequate. They need him in order to give rest to the other perimeter guys rest. Their bench is still a little thin and that's why I'm worried they'll hit a wall at some point.
