Thats a nice field![]()
Yep, even better is that the field was recently redone. Go rid of the rubber pellets/astroturf in favour for these wood chips.
Makes a difference on those hot days. Astrotrurf would have your feet burning

The problem for me is that it’ll take too long. I do a lot of volume on my hypertrophy days and 3 mins rest for each will have me in the gym all dayI don't understand why people are so quick to dismiss 3 min rest periods. In theory, it should allow you to use more weight. I personally would like to try it myself I just need to put together a program that I can fit into my schedule.
Superset. Thats what I'm gonna do.The problem for me is that it’ll take too long. I do a lot of volume on my hypertrophy days and 3 mins rest for each will have me in the gym all day
That’s part of his programming. He would have you doing less volume/sets and more intensity/working closer to fatigue. He’s on PPL FWIWThe problem for me is that it’ll take too long. I do a lot of volume on my hypertrophy days and 3 mins rest for each will have me in the gym all day
Honestly it makes sense that brehettes like @dora_da_destroyer and @ThiefyPoo don't be on that longer rest wave.
They're not really powerlifting or chasing barbell numbers so they prolly honestly don't know any better.
These dudes in my gyms that ain't aware be on the same wave, then wonder why their power output is so low.![]()
Yeah it’s a whole new thought process for muscle building so I’m definitely intrigued by it.Honestly it makes sense that brehettes like @dora_da_destroyer and @ThiefyPoo don't be on that longer rest wave.

Lol @ not knowing any better. Um no, there are differences between the sexes and we don’t need as much restHonestly it makes sense that brehettes like @dora_da_destroyer and @ThiefyPoo don't be on that longer rest wave.

- Women can handle significantly MORE work in the gym than men.
- Women have much more staying power than their male counterparts. A guy struggling on rep eight probably won’t get past rep 10, but a female will often make it up to rep 15 or above – even if she started to fatigue at rep eight. Like we said, staying power.
- Rest should be kept relatively low between each lift. Women can handle a high volume of training, so keeping rest a little lower and workload greater, would be ideal.
- Women should keep working until “technical failure” (the point where form just breaks down). You can recover from reaching failure much quicker than men, and you’ll be able to get way more ‘hard’ reps in for quicker results.
Women don’t need as much rest between sets
The following graphic from Hunter (2014)summarizes the reasons why women don’t fatigue as much as men. With all of this in mind, it shouldn’t be a surprise that women recover faster after a set than men. In my scientific review with Brad Schoenfeld on the best rest interval for muscle growth we also discussed this. Women don’t need as much rest as men to complete the same relative training volume.
I think that’s the thing. It’s not about “need”, could it help you work heavier for more quality reps? That’s the other aspect the 3 minutes (according to him) allows for neural and muscular bounce back. So how are you working towards within one rep of fatigue in everyone working set without both. Might not be ideal for you to do so but that’s the idea.On my lighter days I don’t need that long of a rest unless it’s my super sets at the end .
My lighter days I focus on proper form more than anything .
Again with the"oh you should be doing" discussions again
I do catch wrestling, combat sambo, and Muay Thai. My lifting thinking gone be completely different than someone playing football, bodybuilding, etc.
Side note, this nootropic stack has helped wonders
Took too long to get better running shoes and my plantar fasciitis came back though![]()
Oh ok I get it but I’m ok think what I’m doing is fine . Here and there I might need a long rest but for the most part I just do a min and keep it moving .I think that’s the thing. Preach my sister preach .Lol @ not knowing any better. Um no, there are differences between the sexes and we don’t need as much rest
