Took off my squat diaper today as an experiment :skip:

Even though I'm only up to 195 on my beginning-squats 5x5 program, I decided to load 225 on the bar for the first time today just to see if I was there yet. Started at 195 then did single reps adding 10 lbs to the bar each time until 225. Then tried to rep-out 225....made it to 3 1/2 before failure. Overall I was pretty damn happy that I didn't look like a jackass out there trying to push the weight :ld:. Core was plenty stable....had a bit of a forward lean at the end but I still haven't bought flat shoes so my running shoes might be to blame.

I could definitely get 4 reps with a better set up, which puts me around a 245 max. At my bodyweight that is 'intermediate' level, so I guess I'm happy to be there.:manny:

:to: i hate this fukkin gym. squat rack always full. this little midget mexican nikkas all huddled around the 2 spots to squat at. :pacspit: i aint squatted in almost 2 weeks cuz of this shyt.

Seems like these pre-work out aren't going to give me much of that tangible feeling energy boost or tingle. The pump is damn near scary however.

Only been back to front squats (light ones too) for two sessions and my abs are gettin obnoxious :takedat:

That is a great exercise at any level of intensity.

Front squats humbled me at 135.... def a great exercise....

i started my workout last night w 2 sec pause back squats. did a few other exercises then went back to the rack to front squat to close out. by the time i got 135 on the bar i was struggling on the 7th rep. :dead: the difference in weight front to back is :whoa:

My endurance on leg workouts is :flabbynsick:

1 squat movement, 1 dead movement, 1 calf movement, I'm finished :deadmanny: I couldnt imagine closing out with another set of squats.

Dont sleep on zercher squats either brehs. Engages the abs even more than front squats. Just wrap the fukking fukk out of your upper forearm

war machine got a vid on his ig of him doing these w like 295#, first time i had ever heard of them.
