I wasn't feeling jack from using exercise bands until I started doing me reps slower. :ohhh:

On the real though, I'm going to have to start lifting weights again. this calisthenics progress feels a lil slow.

Of course it is. Calis will never allow you to touch the the same resistance as iron. But let TLR tell it.

Man... nikkas was wylin' in the gym this morning. nikkas started throwing hands. I knew the shyt was going to happen too.

Cotdamn machine hogging ass nikka got mad because somebody started using the leg press while he was doing lateral pulls. He grabbed homie's arm and was like "I know you see my water right there".

Cuzz didn't hesitate. Cocked back and just stole on this nikka. Next thing you know these nikkas scrappin' like they in the streets. :heh:

A. If you're eating like shyt 24/7, you don't reducing shyt but your attractiveness to the bytches.

@africngiant you are saying that a body weight squat provides the same mechanical resistance as a BB squat?
a BB squat is technically weighted calisthenics but there’s also other creative methods to add to exercises to create tension just as effectively as the BB squat can. for example, i did a reverse nordic curl workout yesterday that i couldn’t do any more than 4 reps max each set based just on how i adjusted the movement

you right it doesn’t obviously but there’s other body weight movements that arguably can.

i been getting more stimulus doing nordics than pressing/squatting and deadlifting with a strength carryover

the pain and size increase ive gotten from only doing the exercise for a little bit compared to the other stuff

anecdotally my outer quad and overall quad width is increasing like a mf already and that’s been one of my main difficulties as someone who can squat 315+ and leg press 900+.

nordics are one of only 2 exercises (leg extension) that hit all four heads at once + your hip flexors, so if you can make it challenging you most definitely a get better overall leg tension and growth from what im seeing especially with how i do the exercise

i don’t use weights for it but i use arm rests from 2 couches and pull against them while bringing my legs up at the same time to make it way more difficult
