You can’t spot reduce first and foremost
Second you always keep protein at body weight during a cut to help with muscle preservation and satiation. For the most part you can’t gain fat from protein consumption.
Body recomps are largely a waste of time for casual lifters.
I don’t know enough to say what your macros should be but start with .80 - 1 grams of protein to body weight and figure it out from there.
Stop starving yourself. For what you want to likely achieve it’s not going to work.
Have you tried intermittent fasting? I lost 50 pounds, I'm so use to it now I just stick to it even though I've met my goals.
Your body is in starvation made, that’s probably why the scale not changing. 1200 cal? Hard to maintain that for a long time and consistently get results. I’m trying to figure out a reverse diet so my body can get used to calories again so I can start cutting again.
Honestly you probably need a different approach and figure out what you really want. 1200 cals is protocols to get absolutely peeled for a competition, not sustainable fat loss.
Knew much that spot reduction is unfeasible. As I googled some articles suggested focusing on significant the cardio and that gender and genetics are crucial factors. Am sorta fukked on the later. As far as I remember I've had that skinny fat appearance. Where I'm tall and lanky but got that kwashiorkor belly going. And while I appreciate the muscle and gains I've added since, its pointless to me when I'm shirtless. Guess I was trying to figure out what other brehs/brehettes did to address their abdominal fat. If going on 1000-12000 calories is what it takes to get this shyt off, I don't mind doing it. From what I gathered so far gram per pound of weight, reduced carbohydrates, zero processed sugars.
Yes. I am on the 16/8 variations - squeeze all meals between 1 and 9 pm. And then don't eat anything until the next window. Furthermore, as stated I restricted my caloric intake. Dropped from 89 to 83. Thing is I'm not struggling with weight gain or loss. Rather its the mid-section. Back in high school to early college, I was hovered around 70-75 maximum. Despite the skinny frame and build, always had this motherfukking gut. Its honestly demoralizing ngl. Im not even asking for ab striations just a tight core.
The scale has dropped what's not changing is the body fat. I can tell my shoulders, arms, thighs have dropped. Its visibly apparent. However, this much I know is muscle loss as opposed to what I am after. Its not that I want to spot reduce, all I want to know is the best method to lose body fat.
