This guy and barbells
You ain't farmer's/loaded carrying em thoughThat's how you get to be #POWDA1.
Stopped at 545 yesterday. Straight bar, no straps.

Caught up with one of the gym brehettes yesterday. Said she caught the Covid and lost 13 pounds and her strength is washed
She's pretty small framed, honestly don't know where she lost the 13 from. She trains hard/smart but she's not moving weight like that.
Not surprised, especially if she stopped lifting and became detrained.
How big is she, and was she really moving weight like that or is she a female fukkboy?

Not so much aversion as that some of the claims made in it are not in-line.This new gym is $50 a month more expensive with 1/4th the equipment
And they want a full year’s payment up front too...
I’d use my work gym but the barbell lifts are all on the smith machine
Might look into a boxing gym instead for the next couple of months...
EDIT: Why the aversion to fasting? I’d say the majority of Americans could use one ore two days without food
I do it from time to time. I find it good for mental clarity and just giving my stomach a break from digestion.

Do American need a break from food because they don’t eat well? If so then that is a different issue.
Break from digestion? Not talking about you personally but if you are eating balanced then why would you need to? Your body has evolved and is made to to handle these things. Should have added context. Break from digestion usually following vacation or periods of overeating.
If it’s a general preference then sure whatever but a lot of the “reasoning” is a bit faulty. Like great “you” didn’t eat for two days but then in the next sentence you are telling me you ate a burger, fries and a milkshake shake after that. Doesn’t compute.
Maybe but I’m also talking from the perspective of someone that’s done it.Idk, I think we’ve had this convo in this thread before but the moment people mention a benefit of a fast e.g. mental clarity, feeling lighter etc there seems to be another camp with knives out looking to constantly refute the claims.
Fasting isn’t for everyone but I won’t knock anyone that wants to cut back for a bit.
