He needs to work on grip skrenfAs the coli's top deadlifter I cannot cosign using maces, swords, bows, tires, or catapults for increasing deads.
Just pull singles more often. Focus on strengthening the quads, glutes, hams, and lats. Squat and row more.

1100 club??
No, he doesn't. Grip strength is not the limiting factor right now.
Also, deadlifting with a straight bar for heavy singles won't work his grip strength?
Just gotta determine why you want that extra grip above and beyond what lifting will give you.Heavy singles and any other pull work def does but i figured i should do some more accessory work on my forearms/grip anyway

Only because I can't use chalkJust my .02. A lot of cats be adding accessory work for every little thing, to the point that they start "majoring in the minors" and the accessory work begins to overshadow the main lift work. (This assumes they're even doing appropriate main lift work in the first place.)
Again, for someone who pulls more than anyone else here, that's just what's worked for me. Also not frying your CNS will help, as a symptom of CNS fatigue is decreased grip strength.
One of the dudes in here telling you to work it directly is also using straps on the trap bar, so there's that...
Generally agree from what I see at my gym anyway. I kind of get it from the older men because they are middle age dads but the younger cats doing forearm work is perplexing.Just my .02.
