Good info.
Why did you put your arms around him and lovingly caress his back?Felt bad for this young breh at the gym today. He had all the "I'm a new lifter signs" and he got caught up in looking at what everybody else was doing
He got pinned HARD under 135 on the bench. I could see it coming because he was wobbling and squealing on the way up from his 4th rep and went for a 5th so I subtlety took off my headphones and stood up. .. all of a sudden a panicked "HALP"
me and another dude came over and picked the weight up off him and racked it.
He quickly walked over to the water fountain and took his glasses off. You could tell he was about to cry, so I slid over to him and put my hand on his shoulder and gave him some big homie advices. ..
And explained why he shouldn't use the clips in case he needs to bail next time and how to do it. Patted him on the back and told him there isn't a guy here that hasn't had to bail on a failed lift so learn from this and put it outta ur head.
You could tell it picked his spirit up a bit because he was definitely embarrassed in an "I ain't coming back here" kinda way.

Actually, I would suggest using clips so weights don't fall off, but to ask for a spot when you need it.
Yeah, I was kidding about the gay arm wrapping business. It was just a joke.I shouldn't entertain this since I can't tell if you're joking but
@ the first question. .. sympathy and human touch aren't foreign concepts to me in 2016 whereas others would be making a snapchat story/gym fail vid out of the kid.
obviously I mentioned grabbing a spot to him.
Yet gave him the bit about the clips to prevent a guy who was obviously too shy to ask to begin with from developing fear of the bar if there's no one he's comfortable asking around him to spot him.

Well, it's a Cybex treadmill, I finish a mile in 8 minutes and 44 seconds at 7 MPH, so I'm not going to an NFL combine anytime soon.No worries. That's why I prefaced breh
A 7MPH milethat's dope

I've been trapped under a barbell. It was in a weird gym. They had an upstairs and a downstairs.I shouldn't entertain this since I can't tell if you're joking but

No one was upstairs except me and I attempted a heavy lift. I got stuck under 225+ lbs, I had to do the tip to one side to drop off plates but hold onto the bar so it didn't flip over. I slid the whole barbell to the side, so the plates could reach the ground. Then, the other plates were right next to my shoulder, so i could grab the bar and tip that end down, so the plates dropped next to the bench. It was dangerous because I had to maintain a constant press so as not to crush my lungs.![]()
