terrible coaching by capel, terrible heart and overall soft as cotton from all of duke's players. refs did us no favors, but not playing with any pride or team concept ills us. they played better as a team when tatum was injured. bigger ballhog than austin rivers was. i'm honestly ready to see him go to the draft.

I really want to say he's 4th on the board for me out of all the prospects but the way you hate his game is making me reconsider if I'm overrating his bbiq.

he's got surefire nba wing talent (and defense when he's engaged), but he has to learn to play in a team concept and purge himself of his me-first style of play. This isn't the Nike EYBL where you can shoot whenever you want, especially when you're not an explosive athlete. I wish we had josh jackson right now b/c he has not just the vision, but the willingness to pass. Lack of a true PG is really hurting us. Grayson has played really well as a lead guard/PG even dating back to last season (which will help his nba stock despite the drop in his numbers this season), but for some reason, K and capel are giving tatum too much leash to initiate the offense/go iso. Grayson had a very solid first half scoring and distributing and some nice drives early in the 2nd half; luke had his usual game putting up points efficiently. Yet somehow, capel decided to let jayson run the show just when we were about to go on a run and potentially pull away. He had grayson and luke open numerous times in the 2nd half and just completely ignored them. They both looked disinterested in putting in any effort after that, and it makes me go back to both of their quotes earlier in the year with grayson saying the injured guys have to get on the train and adjust to the team, not vice versa. And then kennard saying that some guys basically weren't playing right or unselfishly within the team. It is most definitely tatum who is the most guilty. Team ball and movement just dies when he touches it and he can only create for himself. Terrible decisions and TOs today from him. Wish we had JJ as noted before or ingram back. Having dennis smith who I badly wanted instead of frank jackson would've been icing.

Nope....8 Burger Boys on this team....I will not let you play the "woe is me" card. :stopitslime:Anybody who follows recruiting knew what y'all were getting with Tatum and y'all beat y'all chest over it when he signed. Now lay in your bed. He's nowhere near y'all biggest issue. K and his staff's inability to develop big men is your biggest hole. Who knew that K's last 2 "super loaded" squads only went as far as their journeyman 5th year senior big man took them? :mjlol: Bolden is ass. Chase is ass. Y'all get absolutely nothing in the paint from y'all bigs. And then complain when the perimeter guys who you knew where only making a pit stop in Durham just to get numbers, do just that. Dook fans are the worst. :hhh:

Man get the fukk outta here. You got 8 Burger Boys and still bytching. If you left it at that, it wouldn't have moved the needle, but then you started with that "wish we had Josh instead of Jayson.....Dennis instead of Frank" soft shyt. So what you're saying? You can't beat VT and FSU with 8 Burger Boys? Oh it's not that it's 8, just not the "right" 8? I can't imagine how insufferable you'd be if you were like other programs and had just maybe 2-3 blue chippers. Like I said, when you signed the #1 player in the class, you were beating your chest....now we're in January and you're acting like a trust fund kid wanting to trade in his Benz for a Beamer. Clown shyt.

He's talented but he just doesn't really seem to know how to play in a team concept. They need to just make Grayson the PG. Jayson can be a decent passer at times but that's not his game.

bytch, whether it's NCAA, NBA or any other sport, a fan can complain about how their team/players are playing relative to other teams and their players. It's been a season of injuries and controversy for duke which has definitely stifled chemistry. Nothing wrong with me pointing that out in comparison to other teams. I for one have said numerous times on this board during last season, that I wanted dennis smith to commit much more than frank jackson who is more a jerryd bayless type than a real PG. Josh jackson is looking more polished than tatum and was briefly recrutied by duke. Nothing wrong with me saying I wish we had someone with his unselfishness on the team. You are just looking for something to attack...fukk out my face CLOWN.

grayson has been defacto PG early on and official PG the last few games with a great A:TO ratio. i'm baffled as to why they took the ball out of his hands in the 2nd half unless they figured he could space the floor off the ball. Problem is he wasn't getting the ball nor luke very often. He has to have the ball and initiate offense the rest of the season, but learn when to play selfishly as well. They really needed his offense more than his passing last nite He's been a bit too unselfish/semi-neutered since coming back from suspension.

You did all that typing just to defend that clown shyt you're on? Part of the reason you're a fan of Dook, or any college program, is partly for the team they are able to assemble and recruit. When you sign the #1 class to a team with 5 Burger Boys already waiting, you come off as a sucka whining about wanting "more" help. If you can show me somewhere prior to the season where you said you'd rather have Josh than Jayson, I'd walk all this back. If not, take a Midol and chill. I wonder which of the 10 L's last year was your stop on the "Brandon Ingram train"?? :camby:

nikka you started this shyt for no goddamn reason. every fan complains about their team no matter how seemingly well-assembled. where did i say i'm no longer supporting the team or hopping off your so called train? there's nothing wrong with being critical of how your team/players are playing especially in comparison to people at the same position. I'm not the first, i won't be the last to critique my team/coaching, but you decided to single me out clearly with an anti-duke agenda. fukk you.
