He actually defends quite well when he puts in effort. He kept jackson in front of him a few times last nite. Kennard is by far the worst perimeter defender on the team. And if allen hits his 3s at a usual clip, we'd be talking a differnet tune about last nite. He missed alot of 3 that he would ordinarily make which had nothing to do with the defender in front of him. He hits 3-4 more 3s given the volume he took, and duke wins with him have 20+ points. He just has to hit those shots. When he decided to stop settling for 3s in the 2nd half, he made a couple easy drives to the basket.

his handle is actually quite improved, but i definitely agree with the midrange. He's settled for 3s and drives to the cup this year when he was better at midrange last year. See above re: defense.

I completely disagree with some of the first paragraph. Josh had his way with him in the second half until he got his 4th foul.

That's the thing, Bolden has all the tools to be an elite rebounder, dude gives up way too many offensive boards. He should be way more dominant with the tools he has.

I never said that he was a bad player though, I just don't think he's going to provide as much to win these kinds of games as people think he will.

And as far as that last clip. I could pull up a joint of Kwame Brown blocking Dwight Howard. Neither one of them had a good Hoop Summit.
Well then you're opinion is detached from reality then...ask Coach K and every NBA scout who has seen Duke or him play in a setting against other talented players.

Bolden literally led Duke in rebounding (both offensive and defensive) and blocks in practice/public scrimmages/exhibitions yet YOU claimed that he wouldn't have a impact in the KU-Duke game when the only reason Duke lost was due to rebounding/2nd chance points and the inability to stop Frank Mason from penetrating.

Udoka Azubike had 12 rebounds in 15 minutes in that game last night, if an inferior talent and athlete like that can impact the KU-Duke game why are you claiming Bolden wouldn't have? Are you serious right now with that illogical stance?

Anyone who seriously has knowledge of College Basketball and the sport in general can see that if Duke just had ONE of it's elite, freakishly long post players (Bolden or Giles) this game would've had a different outcome. Let alone if Duke had everyone suit up, because fully healthy this game is similar to the MSU-Kentucky game where Duke just runs Kansas out the gym.

matt jones defended JJ most of the game, i'm talking about the times allen was switched onto him. Allen guarded graham most of the game who I don't think had a big game. mason and jackson with azubuike's bulk and rebounding is what won the game.

KU shot like shyt from the three point line and free throw line. I'll listen to the if they had Tatum and Bolden reasoning. I don't wanna hear about Giles he's always injured.

Don't discredit Kansas' defense, that was a big factor as well. I suppose we will see if they match up again. I would probably still ride with Kansas too, there's more to it than just plugging those 3 in and instantly being able to beat everybody.

There are a lot of other people who feel the same way, but I guess they're all just Duke haters because they don't think Tatum, Giles and Bolden make them the best team ever assembled :ehh:

I'm sure you saw what Mason did against Indiana too, Anunoby and Bryant have outstanding length but it didn't help too much.

I have been watching Bradley, I'm not going to give my opinion about a player if I haven't watched enough film yet.

At the end of the day it comes down to the eye test for me, Bolden certainly beats out Bradley for me and so does Udoka.

Bradley has all the tools to be a great college player.

I just don't see his game translating to the league like the other two, and I don't feel he has the potential of them either.

I'll give you Bolden, but Udoka can't even catch :mjlol:. His game translating to the league???? Ok, bro.

Udoka just turned 17 two months ago and has more potential than Bradley for sure. He already has a great frame for the league, as long as he doesn't leave too early he'll be good.

I am in no way trying to discredit Kansas, as a win is a win, but I just don't see how anyone with common sense would say the same result would happen if Duke's other 3 freshmen played. Even with just Bolden and Tatum, the game ends differently. Think about that for a second. A healthy Kansas team, who I think is one of the top 3-5 teams in the country, beat Duke by 2, with 3 of Duke's 5 most talented players, (essentially 2 starters) in street clothes. Those 3 players in street clothes are considered by most to be lottery picks, with 2 considered to go in the top 5. They wouldn't make a difference in a 2 point game?:mjlol:

:russ:....No there aren't. Just about every analyst I've seen believes Duke is the best team in the country, by a good margin. I can assure you Mason would have had a much tougher time in the paint if Duke had Bolden and Tatum. With their length plus Jefferson at the 4, it would have been very difficult to score in the paint. If they match up again, I'm more than willing to put money on that game providing everybody is healthy, and I ain't talking coli cash because I don't see how 3 nba nikkas wouldn't affect a 2 point game.................................But for now.... Kansas got it...:hubie:

Think we'll see Crean get some Thomas Bryant like development out of De'Ron Davis, something special about him.

This team is really deep though, looked good tonight.

So you're completely going against actual logic and basketball knowledge then.:sas2:

Lol fam look, YOU literally saw Udoka fukkin Azubike impact the game yet you're outright denying that THREE freshman who will be drafted higher, who are more athletic, more skilled and more talented than him would impact the game.

Anyone who'd thinks Kansas would beat Duke with it's complete team, doesn't know nor watch basketball or is a KU fan/Duke hater. Period.

Aight breh I'm not going to keep going back and forth with you, yeah I think Kansas can beat a fully healthy Duke team. Lots of other do to. Kansas didn't play anywhere near as good as they can, and Duke is injured.

So you aren't capable of even fully defend your logic. Gotcha.:mjlol: You're an IU fan so you obviously hate Duke.

Hiding behind the "other people think so too!" thing doesn't work when those people who are in that category are not knowledgeable about the sport of basketball and are just causal fans.

No NBA scout, college coach or analyst who actually played basketball thinks this Kansas team would beat a fully healthy Duke team. Check the stats and actually analyze the boxscore/re-watch the game.

The reason KU won is entirely due to 2nd chance pts and having a higher defensive & offensive rebounding percentage. That isn't a sustainable way to beat a team like Duke who when healthy has the best frontcourt in college basketball and multiple NBA lottery picks who can dominate the paint.

Kentucky will beat this KU team later this season as well.

yeah, just ignore the #1 ranked recruit in all of basketball...so convenient to do when he's a blue devil.

you guys are fukking clueless, ignore the fact that this Duke team can be one of the best ever going by total efficiency ratings...y'all lucky we can't neg cause y'all deserve it just off your pure ignorance.

can't wait to see you pathetic haters throwing tantrums when Duke demolishes teams en route to the title... :umad::pachaha: :win:
