but if the GOP got on its drug war shyt so would the clintons, so for a black person, voting for clinton or voting for paul is the same difference, according to your logic
When u muster the courage to stick to the topic at hand hit me up. Im not gonna let u baiting me into defending a candidate I never endorsed and frankly dont give a fukk about in a thread that's not even about them.

you cant go back and forth because ive been saying the same thing so there is no way you can bring up a post of me saying anything different

and he has convinced other people in his party

Criminal justice reform gains bipartisan momentum
Criminal justice reform gains bipartisan momentum

because some libertarian republicans like rand paul have brought up the issue some republicans have been coming around, republicans coming around to the issue is the only reason why the clintons have been doing mea culpas about it and its the only reason why there is a bi partisan coalition forming around the issue

but the bottom line is that black people need to split our vote so that we have influence in both parties

This is actually a step in the right direction. Must be all that vote splitting that we did in 2008 and 2012

I'm just exposing the fact that according to your logic a black voter voting for Clinton or for Rand Paul is the same difference

What is the topic that I'm avoiding?

It's actually due to the fact of the Obama coalition not showing up in 2014, and some republicans thinking, correctly that if they can siphon off some black votes they can get the White House

IMO black voters should and will take a more neutral approach to politics beyond the democrats good, republicans bad approach

Nope, never said or implied this.

never said you said it, i said that is the logical conclusion of your statements that paul, sanders and clinton have never passed any laws and are full of shyt and clinton and paul will cave under GOP pressure

unless there is some other information you want to add, the logical conclusion is that there isnt any difference between them

Rand Paul's ideological cowardice. But it's to be expected as you are similarly afflicted :francis:

rand paul's ideological cowardice as compared to who?

its not funny for democrats, a 10 percent shift in the black vote would doom any democrat for the whitehouse

the entire democratic strategy is based on 90 percent of black voters voting democrat, without that the democrats crumble, that is what happened in 2014

That had nothing to do with black people voting Republican, that was because Democratic voters in general don't tend to vote in midterms. This was true long before 2014.

Why? Because they're younger/poorer/less enthusiastic than your average GOP voter and are less likely to be able to take time off work.

Young People Barely Voted in the Midterms, and Democrats Paid the Price

And anyway, the GOP already controls the House and Senate. I don't see how having them control the presidency too would be at all beneficial to black people. Just voting GOP (a party that's openly antagonistic towards minorities in general) for the sake of vote splitting when there's no indication that they'll do anything to benefit us would be dumb.

i didnt say it was from black people voting republican, the point im making is that a small shift in black voting can devastate democrats, so in other words a minority can change the outcome and im saying black people should exploit that

and again we should split the vote to increase our power and influence in both parties, period

Uncertain grounds
need more young congressmen/women for there to be significant change in laws tbh. the old heads are gonna stick by what they voted for in the past and are generally opposed to going back on laws passed during their time because of ego/claims of being a flip-flopper/being beholden to lobbyists etc unless there is significant public outrage. further, most of the older congressmen are in positions of power as chairmen of committees and have friendships/alliances that pressure jr congressmen into falling in line or otherwise getting their bills and proposed amendments shot down on arrival.

regarding "libertarian" views like decriminalization, repubs are too socially backwards to fully c/s it and they have both houses..
