unlike Clinton's time in the Senate Rand actually put bills forth. It's not hard to see the bills he introduced, speeches addressing congress, and works he did with Cory Booker. Some that went at this very issue.

Im talking about Rand Paul, cause that's who the thread is about. IDGAF about Sanders or Clinton, neither of them are getting my vote. Paul put bills up but they were softball shyt he knew woouldn't pass. And when push came to shove and the GOP put that pressure on him he about faced on foreign policy, abortion, and is on the wrong side of the libertarian fence on shyt like drug laws (note how he wants to reduce penalties, rather than fully decriminalize.... whats libertarian about drug laws?), gay marriage, and even fukking free speech if it's "radical and political". So like I said from the drop, Rand Paul is full of shyt, and his half-assed anti-drug law rhetoric only further proves that.

I was making the case that black people should pursue a bipartisan solution and get both parties to start pushing our agenda and you had a fit
There are other and more importantly much better ways of doing that than arbitrarily giving our votes away w/o ensuring our interests won't be served first

I disagreed with your assertion that we should "split our votes" especially without any policy demands. I don't know if Rand Paul actually believes in this issue or if it's just a political maneuver, but he will have a hard time selling this issue to the party of law and order.
If he can back or help pass meaningful reform, then most black people would be less suspicious of Paul especially given his earlier positions on civil rights etc.
How the fuk is voting for somebody that is discussing dismantling the prison industrial complex giving a vote arbitrarily?
