Quick question here in tampa bay area we just got a new radio station that caters to 80s,90s,00s hip hop and r&b do these old school artist get paid for each time radio plays their songs??
I'm pretty sure it depends on how their publishing is setup. In that regards I doubt if many are seeing anything from it and those stations are now popping up all over the countryQuick question here in tampa bay area we just got a new radio station that caters to 80s,90s,00s hip hop and r&b do these old school artist get paid for each time radio plays their songs??
So you need 200k to become famous with a platinum record these days? Damn no wonder all these labels are pushing are actors and stuff. They the only ones with the money to do It. Truthfully if I had that money to Invest in a single I'd be hustling backwards. Fame is not that important. And I don't got dirty money to wash
Hot 97 on any given day....Eh, the radio is basically just drake these days lol.
I'm sorry breh...you have to understand your old head demographic no longer matters to this generation of hip hop and accept it.PRoblem with this is old heads aint on these young dude platforms like that
Last year I bought a new CNN CD I dont fukk with Spotify or Tidal
I havent listened to the radio myself since 2005.basically, and other trending artists that i don't even care for as much. it's been a long time since i've actually tuned in to these radio stations.

Famous people don't say this.
But the richest people in the world do.
Unless you're running a major record label, it's really hard to became rich AND anonymous off music. If you're an artist, slim to none. You gotta be on some AR Rahman type shyt to be wealthy off making music yet do whatever.

Yo they really do this tho.....I remember my wife called in randomly to hot 97 and she actually got on air and they told her to say she wants to hear bone thugs first of the monthfcking radiodo radio stations still do the fake call-in's with people requesting songs?
Ebro doesn't get credit for having front-office experience to complement his on-air experience and is generally one of the smartest voices on mainstream hip hop radio, but as this clip also shows, he has emotional outbursts and a temper that get him in trouble and/or rub people the wrong way.Interesting tidbit regarding the 11 minutes as the average window that you have to reach the typical radio listener.
