its very simple why we stop at language because its not a violation of individual rights, civil rights or human rights to use a common language as a means of social cohesion but it is a violation of certain rights to block people from immigrating based on race
there is nothing crazy being suggested, what is being suggested is the way its always been done in this country for 200 years, immigrants come to this country, immigrants speak english, end of story

It is a violation of individual rights to force a citizen of this country to learn a language, or force them to leave. There is no more of a requirement to be an English speaker in this country as it is to be a Christian. Just because the vast majority of people speak a particular language doesn't mean it's right to require everyone to speak that language. Just like it wouldn't be right to require everyone to go to church or worship the way the majority of people do.
Immigrants have never been forced to adopt english, but it was economically beneficial to do so, as it still is.
