This Willie Lynch division is bullshyt and I'm sick of it quite frankly.
I will say that there's blood on both parties' hands. Haitians/Caribbeans come to America for a better standard of living. They emphasize education and financial stability and independence. As far as the beef between AAs and Haitians, AAs clowned Haitians for being broke, having accents, their language, how they tend to dress, and their lack of familiarity and connection with AA culture. Combine this with the fact that American society demonized Haitians as HIV-carrying, voodoo-mongering deviants and you can understand how Haitians felt very disrespected not only by white society but by AAs. In turn, Haitians drew the line in the sand and looked down on AA culture and how it's general lack of upward mobility despite AAs' relative lack of struggle compared to that of Haitians' (migrating to a foreign country; having to learn a foreign language, working menial jobs, etc.). Haitians became comfortable with the fact that they were outsiders and used their isolation to focus on education and building wealth. And many Haitians saw that they were achieving more success than their AA counterparts who, in their view, suffered from a victim mentality and refused to control their individual and collective destiny.
The beef boils down to blacks not accepting each other and resorting to tribalism. And while this continues to this day, white people are laughing until their faces are beet red.
