No official word on what happened, but in my experience, when a family says a death was unexpected in somebody that's under retirement age, it's sadly often a suicide or overdose. I've heard a few people speculating cancer, but if he was sick, that would usually be mentioned and probably wouldn't be a surprise or something unexpected.

Sad all around. It's real easy to hear a lot of sadness in his music too. I think a lot of those 9/11 firefighters had mental health issues. One of my best friends that was a firefighter committed suicide.

Wouldn't be surprised either if we just never hear anything officially. RIP regardless. Sad day.
