Basically forgotten was a bit much. They did have a huge pop culture impact around the time of their first album. But they hadn't done anything in over a decade at the time of dude's death. Surely, no hip hop fan had forgotten them, they had enough of a spark to never be forgotten.
You could make an argument that Brat's sales are tainted by the appropriation of the g-funk/snoop image/asethetic - but I like Brat so I wouldn't make that argument. Brat to me had more of an impact than Kriss Kross as she had a second life in hip-hop once she feminized. Still - overall, she's not an iconic figure in hip-hop.
Agree to disagree about music's impact on impact and Kast's impact.
who cares if kriss kross hasn't done anything in the past decade? what does that matter?
lol @ da brat's sales being tainted. that's the biggest reach ive seen in the coli thus far.
heres the thing about your last statement: you cant just wake up one day and start changing definitions of things to your liking. secondly, you cant just turn around and continuously say that a group and/or their music had a major impact and expect it to magically come true if they have no real track record of such. stuff like this is how you often end up in the dark in certain discussions. and im not coming at your neck. im telling you this for future reference because youre a cool kind of guy.
but yea, lets get back to chris Kelly.
