His wife died a few month(s) before he did? :ohhh:

Then I guess he was ready to go. When you got nothing left to keep living for, you just earn your paycheck and leave. He knew everything would be alright without him, he wasn't needed anymore, his kids would be alright and in the end wanted to be with his wife.

Rest well Bobby Eaton.

I remember him most with the Midnight Express. He didn’t have the million dollar physique like some other guys of that era but he was a great worker in an era where not much emphasis was put on work rates.

I will always say that guys taking bumps like that countless times over the years, being on the road all the time, and likely mixing that lifestyle with other things takes years off their lives on the back end. Most of those guys from the golden era are dead.

62 years old is not dead old either. This dude is supposed to be enjoying his grandkids, going to retirement parties, and playing golf. RIP

Bobby Eaton is the most underrated wrestler in the history of the business.
He was the consummate tag wrestler and had a very unsung singles career too.
Plus the Alabama Jam top rope leg drop was a great looking move that was safe as hell because of how Eaton executed it.
