You don't elect politicians to be moral purists. You elect them to represent your political interest. Why not let this decision be decided by the political process, voting. He is there to represent Minnesota and they should decide if they want him to represent them. Hell like I said, I believe the same thing about Roy Moore. I think he should be in fukking jail, but as long as he isn't, if Alabama wants to be known as the state that elects pedophiles, then let them be the state the elects pedophiles.

While democrats really gain...nothing from this except a pat on the back, with moore in the senate and hell Franken's seat in danger, Republicans get to pass laws and have authority over things that have a much more serious impact on everyone's life. When we're in a recession and people's retirement accounts are in the toliet, I doubt they will care Franken grabbed a woman's ass 10 years ago.

If the ethics investigation finished and recommended he resign, then ok. If he ran again and lost because of this, then ok. But this bus was moving at 100 MPH over him for no gain.

Evil wins. Morality don't. Republicans took back the House in 2010 2 years after the first year of the recession. They shouldn't have been able to take it back that quick. They took back the Senate in 2014 and took the white House with the most arrogant, ignorant, bigot, sexual predator piece of shyt possible.

Moral victories don't mean anything in politics. All they are is a good thing to teach your kids.

Republicans know their voter base are a bunch of hypocrites. As long as you enable their bigotry, intolerance, hatred of liberals, talk about 2nd amendment rights, Republican voters will stick together and vote their person in office.

All of these people deny. Doesn't make multiple accusations ok politically or socially for a sitting U.S. Senator.

Obviously, the right way for this to have played out was for the ethics committee investigation to finish but in this current climate, it wasn't going to happen. But if this was even a year or two ago this might have been settled behind closed doors.

We're in the middle of a huge culture shift and there's gonna be a couple of people who seem "unfairly" prosecuted but I don't think anybody will look back at what generally is a positive movement and think, "what about Al Franken though?"
