I really believe that the voters in his state should have been given the choice here. Not his fellow senators and not the Washington press whose interest is not how the government benefits people but how things look in washington itself.

This is the conundrum created by democrats who want to campaign and play morality games when their job has nothing to do with their personal failings or mistakes but on what they are doing to make everyone's life better from the position they have in government. There is a difference between molesting a child or fukking murder for example and serious felony crimes and I think in those cases yeah the person got to go. But this is not a case where I think his departure had to be expedited. I bet you if he ran again, he would win because voters do not vote on this shyt. The belief and perception is politicians are amoral anyways, we're voting for you to represent our political interests. I want someone voting against Trump's and Republican's agenda and introducing legislation that will impact the economy and whether healthcare is affordable.

You don't elect politicians to be moral purists. You elect them to represent your political interest. Why not let this decision be decided by the political process, voting. He is there to represent Minnesota and they should decide if they want him to represent them. Hell like I said, I believe the same thing about Roy Moore. I think he should be in fukking jail, but as long as he isn't, if Alabama wants to be known as the state that elects pedophiles, then let them be the state the elects pedophiles.

While democrats really gain...nothing from this except a pat on the back, with moore in the senate and hell Franken's seat in danger, Republicans get to pass laws and have authority over things that have a much more serious impact on everyone's life. When we're in a recession and people's retirement accounts are in the toliet, I doubt they will care Franken grabbed a woman's ass 10 years ago.

If the ethics investigation finished and recommended he resign, then ok. If he ran again and lost because of this, then ok. But this bus was moving at 100 MPH over him for no gain.
